POLLLLLLL
Hi everyone
Today's poll...
What about this process/journey/surgery has surprised you the most?
List a few things...
Some of mine:
1) I'm still stunned that I'm losing weight (had become so used to failing)
2) I'm surprised that I've grown to enjoy exercise this quickly.
3) I'm surprised that my face that was starting to sag is bouncing back a bit.
4) I'm surprised how much I can eat (it's both bad and good, kinda scary)
5) I'm surprised how many large clothes I had purchased in an attempt to look ok when I was at my higher weight. (dang!) I'm getting rid of it ALL now.
6) I'm surprised that I've found enough discipline to log faithfully on fitday
7) It's surprising how many people are so happy for me
Hope you all have a wonderful week! Take care and thank you for all the support and feedback you all give me.
~Sue
What about this process/journey/surgery has surprised you the most?
List a few things...
1. Also surprised that this is truely working.
2. Also at how much and what I can eat. (I agree with that being good and bad)
3. Surprised at how many people notice but won't mention it until I say something about it. (I think they think I'll be offended)
4. Suprised at how much better I feel, inside and out.
5. Surprised at how much dh really likes it.
6. Surprised at all the time I now spend with my kids on the floor. (I missed that)
As always, great poll Sue. Thank you for all your support!
God Bless!

Hello Sue,
Thanks for yet another poll.
First of all, just let me say it again...you are such a cutie pie.
Now, I too am surprised I am still losing inspite of myself. But, nevertheless how slow, it is indeed working. I was extremely surprised that I felt absolutely "zero" pai through this entire process.
Only thing that was "uncomfortable" for me was the Foli catheter. (ouch!)
Otherwise this has been surprisingly pain free.
Also, I too am surprised at how I am now able to eat a litle more. Dr. did say pouch would stretch over time though.
I wear suits to work everyday, so i have had to get rid of an ungodly number of suits, pants, shirts, etc. mind you all my clothes were custom made to boot.
I am surprised as well at my discipline. I was scared that like before when I lost weight I would revert to bad habits and I really haven't.
I am surprised at the level of support from all of our September peers!
Living life as a large person isn't easy as we all know, but I often didnt think anyone else was suffering as I was. I guess that's why we all can relate to each other so well.
I am surprised at the number of things I can now do, that I havent done before, or even wanted to do.
I am surprised at the "drive' I have to just enjoy life to it's fullest each and everyday.
I don't know about everyone else, but your polls are very inspring and I hope you keep em coming.

Today's poll...
What about this process/journey/surgery has surprised you the most?
List a few things...
Some of mine:
1) I'm surprised that I have not lost and gained the same 20 lbs. for 4 months now!!! Like in the past
2) I'm surprised that I STILL don't want to exercise!! I thought I would have so much energy by now that I would have to exercise, but NOT!! :o(
3) I'm surprised that my face is not sagging at all. My surgeon commented on the fact that I do NOT have a "turkey waddle" under there.
4) I'm surprised how much I can eat (it's both bad and good, kinda scary)
5) I'm surprised how many clothes I have been given. EVERYONE wants to give me their clothes that don't fit any more!!! Yeah!!!
6) I'm surprised that I don't have more energy than I do, even though all of my blood tests come back fine.
7) I'm suprised when I meet someone who does not already know that I've had surgery. ( I live in a fairly small town and work on a very small University Campus)
8) I'm surprised that I am still hungry so often. I have been hungry from the very first week!!! But, I am surprised that I have the discipline to only eat at "scheduled" times!!!
9) I am surprised that Sue has not figured out how much we love these polls!!!
