calorie's a day
I was just wondering. Since we are all 4-5 months out or going on it can anyone share with me how many calories they comsume in a day? I wasn't able to make my December nutritionist appointment so I didn't get to ask. I am just wondering what I should be at around now. I am thinking that maybe my weight loss has slowed because I am not getting in enough.
Thanks everyone....

thanks a bunch friends.
Also I think that is one of my problems, I can't consume those calories in a day. I want to keep all my food choice's as healthy as possible. If I make myself a sandwich for lunch I am done for the day. I am proud though because I already have 68 grams of protein in today. This has been a major issue with me. I bought those carb countdown smootie's that have 13 grams of protein and of course my protein drink has 40 so that really boosted up my protein. I made a sandwich for lunch with weigh****cher's wheat bread toasted, a slice of deli ham and a slice of cheese so that put me up to 68 grams of protein. Oh including the 2oz of skim milk I had in my decaf tea this morning. It may not seem like much but I have such a hard time getting it all in.
Thanks for all the info you fine people give me. It helps me a great deal.

I was wondering that myself - and I went to this site called Fitday.com. I hear many people talk about it. I signed up and yesterday when I logged in my food choices it said I had 761 but I don't think it's 100% accurate some of my foods didn't have either the calories or sugars that the food items I've selected have. It's like someone posted - I think sometimes you can go up to 1,000 and sometimes under. Check out Fitday.
Nope, I eat breakfast, and usually have something light for lunch but on the occasion's that I eat a sandwich for lunch it is very hard for me to get hungry for dinner. I will have oatmeal or something like that. But I try never to eat only once a day. Sometimes i am just not hungry but I still try to force myself to eat.

I go to fit day daily. I have been there since maybe 2 or 3 weeks after I had my surgery. That is how I know for sure I wasn't getting in enough protein and calories. Not to mention you can look back and see what you were eating on any certain date. I also input my weight so I can see how that is going. It really is a huge help and not to mention sign up is free.
Thanks for mentioning it though. For people who've never been it is pretty helpful.

Hi gang
I use fitday and am eating around 1200 a day. Some days less, some days a bit more, but not by much. I am losing sloooow and steady. I have heard many people say that their doctor's don't even want them tracking calories, but I have done so since early on because I wanted to be sure I had enough protein and not too many calories, since in my case, I do have an appetite :-/ As Ruth said, not everything is 100% accurate on fitday as far as calories go, but I've gotten pretty good after years of dieting and I alter things as needed. Such as add extra calories on if I know something is more than fitday says.

Sue,
I am glad to hear you eat around 1200 cals. I didn't know of anyone else who was eating close to what I am eating. I am also glad to hear that you have an appetite. When I read about people not having one it throws me for a loop. I think the busier you are the more our bodies are like hello feed me! Haha. Fitday is great too! We are lucky to have it at our disposal. I use it all the time. Keep up the good work!
