I went to the doctor on the 17th, and found out I am now at 310lbs. So that means I have lost 70 lbs since surgery. From my highest weight(497lbs) in 2000, I have lost a total of 187 lbs...While at a flea market this weekend, I saw a teacher I had in high school(haven't seen her in about 5 years), and she didn't know who I was. The doctor also said all my blood work levels were good... Just thought I would let you know....keep up the good work everyone!!! April

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Keep on the good work and thanks for sharing so that we know that we can get there. That's so encouraging. Wow, I didn't think they did blood work so soon. I think my doc wants to wait til the 6month mark. And it was good that you surprised your teacher.

Ruth, Mayo Clinic of Rochester, MN usually does the bloodwork at 3 months, 6 months, and then on from there....but my regular doc keeps track of my liver every 2 months....before surgery I was on a diabetes med called Actos...and it sometimes causes liver disfunction....so he is just extra careful....
