NEW TO OBESITYHELP
HI ALL,
HAD SURGERY 9/23/04 AND LOST 80LBS SO FAR. HAD SVERAL COMPLICATIONS sTICTURES AND ULCER) ALL GONE NOW WITH HELP OF WONDERFUL GASTROENTEROLOGIST, MEDICATIONS AND 4 ENDOSCOPIES.
ALL WORTH IT, I GAVE AWAY 3 SETS OF CLOTHES ALREADY, TRYING NOT TO BUY TOO MUCH, BUT NEED FOR WORK (NURSE INSTRUCTOR).
ANYWAY, NOW 4 MONTHS OUT LOOKING FOR NEW FOODS TO TRY. I WAS TOLD NOT TO EAT PASTAS OR RICE, WHAT GOES DOWN BESIDES SOFT PROTEINS AND SOUPS. LIKE SUGGESTIONS, THANKS SANDY
Hey Sandy, You really went through it... Glad to hear your doing do well now. As far as your question, all I can think is maybe cottage cheese, eggs... I do baked potatoe with cheese and light or fat free sour cream. Some ceareals are good too, I personally like Life and Honey Bees, they are both tasty and go down very well for me. Hope I helped a little...
Jo
Welcome Sandy!
You have been through a lot, I'm so glad to see you're gfeeling better now. As for food ideas, lots of people eat tuna salad, chicken salad, cheese, eggs, tofu in a stir fry etc, in general, moister meats (in a sauce of some kind) tend to go down better. I also read the California board and we have someone who posts daily "what did you eat today?" It is great for getting ideas. You're welcome to stop by the California board, and/or check out your state's board for a similar daily post. If you don't have someone asking that there, then you can start that thread yourself! Good luck and hope to see you here again.
