Stuck

I am stuck, stuck at the same weight now for over a week. I hate being stuck but at least it isn't going up which is exactly where'd i'd be if I didn't have the surgery and was just dieting. I am finally going to be able to pick up my protein powder since the snow and everything else has prevented me. Is everyone else going through this on a regular basis? Like where you lose 5-8 pounds then stay at the same weight or float up and down 1-2 pounds for 2-3 weeks, then lose another couple of pounds then get stuck again???? I am just wondering if this is normal during our journey? Shannon

Hi Shannon, I seem to have developed the same pattern as you. I lose 10-12lbs and then nothing for 2-3 weeks and it drives me nuts I also float around, gaining and losing the same 2-3lbs during that 2-3 week period. I am very happy with my weight loss, and as long as my weight keeps going down Im happy. But yes the stall periods are very nerve racking. Amanda

I totally hear ya! I got the depo shot on 12/23 and haven't lost any weight since then!!! Plus, I then got the ulcer and colitis. . . . . I sure hope I start losing again soon. Otherwise, I will be really disappointed.

I am so right there with you! I get stuck for two to three weeks, lose 5 or 6 pounds and then bounce up and down another two or three pounds for a couple of weeks. It is so frustrating and I was wondering what I was doing wrong but it is great to know I am not alone!

Hi Shannon! You're definately not alone! I get stuck too. This has been my pattern from the very beginning. I tend to lose 10 then stall for a couple of weeks then repeat. It's a vicious circle, but one I can live with compared to life before WLS. Glad to hear you're no longer stuck at home due to snow. Feel free to send some snow my way. My 4 year old and I would love to build a snow man! Julia

Hi Shannon, I am right there with you too. I am doing the exact same thing. Especially around my period, then after I fini**** I will loose again. I don't feel so bad now seeing how others are going thru the same thing. That is what is so great about this sight. Sonya

been there too. . But my trainer said to jump start my system but changing the "diet" or exercise. Maybe your working out to hard for consumption. Slow down. Confuse your body, LOL. I tried it and now Im slowly moving along - but I know I'll be stuck again at some point! So completely normal.
