Poll of the week!
Ok, here goes mine....
strict
1) 3 or 4 protien shakes a day
2) isotonix vitamins
3) veggies and fruit
relaxed
1) carbs - I try to keep them very low
2) sugar - yes once in awhile I give myself a little something
3) water - Im working on this one, its tough to get it all in tho.
4) excercise - was doing good until I got a bad cold. now Im having a hard time getting my butt moving again.
Sue: You come up with the GREATEST Polls ever!!!
Here goes:
Faithful - vitamins: 2 childrens changed from Centrum chewable & B150
wait at least 30 min sometimes an hr before drinking (it's tough sometimes)
I was taking sips of soda but someone did an experiment with a ziploc bag and soda - and will not take a sip again cause sometimes it feels stuck in my throat. Can do Carb Control Orange, 1 % milk and lots of water!!
Can't stop visiting OH! and am spreading the word.
Fast foods are definately history and lots of spanish foods, anything greasy, fat and fried - GONE!
Per Doc's nutritionist haven't had much fruit nor veggies - especially carrots.
Doc said: "Lay off the protein shakes". I do lots of chicken salad, chicken breast, tunafish, codfish, and Gorton's has some awesome grilled salmon and regular fish. Have invested in Cup-a-soup - it's just enough to get rid of the hungries - especially when I'm going to workout with a personal trainer.
After all this procedure & "pain" and having success with eating 5 oz 3 times a day and lots of water...I see no need to turn back and to into carbs like bread, pasta and red meats. At this point I can say I won't go back to that but I don't know if I can change my mind later. Everything is going to well right now to mess it up.
Don't drink coffee or tea so I'm okay there.
I monitor the sugar content in foods - anything more than 5 I try to stay away but sometimes if the fat is 0 grams and the sugar is 8-10 I'll give it a whirl in small amounts.
Exercise - is the KEY, don't give it up! 30 minutes is all we need. With a smaller intake of food we don't have work so hard but switch it up a bit when you see a stall.
I did take a sip of wine cooler and it doesn't feel good so I lay off it.
I've developed a healthy lifestyle in which I could never do before and I feel personally that even if I try the cards, red meats I would be taking a step back.
relaxed:
Will allow myself once a week or two 3 scoops of Carb Control Ice cream.
And I was eating a Hershey chocalate nuggets and some chocalates after the holidays but personal trainer said that a little bit of chocolate is like a big candybar to me now. So I will allow myself one nugget or chocalate bite-size candy - once a week or in a while just as a treat.
Thanks for asking!
I love these polls, I don't always get to participate, but thank you to everyone who does ... and I'm trying...
Strict:
* I too like to use fitday, it amazes me how I could go from 4K-5K calories per day to 600-800.
* Vitamins. 3500mg Calcium citrate and 4 Flintstones vitamins
* Not drinking with food. (sips, but only when I am choking.)
* Soda. No more Cokes or Dr. P's. I just can't get into anything else, so I drink water - always.
* Sugar. Easy for me, I did a dumping thing once on fat free milk and I just don't pu**** That was the worst feeling in my life!
* Alcohol. I am not sure that it's a restriction, but I don't generally drink anyway, so this wasn't hard.
* Not to push. I have actually loved being able to (or being the one) who eats the least. I love being able to push away from the table or plate and say, I'm full, I've had enough. I absolutely love being there.
Relaxed:
* Water. I still probably should drink more, I just don't drink anything much.
* Protein shakes. I eat protein for my meals, but I just can't do these stupid shakes, they're nasty, even the so-called "good tasting" ones.
* I sometimes drink water before waiting an hour and a half, sometimes only 1 hour in-between.
* Exercise. I just for some reason can't seem to be consistent here. I always thought when I got thinner, it would be easier - guess I'm wrong.
I LOVE these polls Sue! You are soooo fun!
Strict:
No eating or drinking 30 minutes before meals.
Vitamins EVERYDAY. (2 Flintstones Chewable)
65-80 Grams of Protein EVERY day.

Relaxed:
Have quit recording what I eat and keeping up with calorie counts and proteins (NOT GOOD)
NO EXERCISE!!!
Eating at least one Hershey's Kiss daily since Christmas!!
Eating tooo many corn chips. I'm allergic to wheat, so I don't eat other carbs much though! Maybe a bite or two of potato once in a while...
Not drinking enough water.
I'm down 68 lbs. though, so I am pretty happy with everything!!
