Well, I finally finished reading all the posts and meeting everyone..lots of great stories and successes. I wonder if I'm doing anything wrong...cause some of you have had some AMAZING losses in such a short time. It would be great if you can share some nutritional information. Is anyone exercising? What are you doing is your exercise routine? At my heaviest I was 288 now I'm 229. Is this a good amount of weight loss? I'm so afraid that I'm gonna gain weight. I guess it's all mental, right? Has anyone used Mederma? Sorry for asking so many questions.

I had surgery on the same date as you. I started at 292 pounds and on my 3.5 month checkup i was at 232 pounds. Looks like we are both losing about the same.
I'd say your doing great. One thing I notice is that the people who think they are losing slow have a lot less weight to lose then those who have had big losses. For instance, I had almost 200 pounds to lose to get to my goal.
I look at my loss an see that this would have never been possible without surgery. So Keep doing what your doing and know your on the right track to a happy healthier you.

Glad you're here with us Ruth
I am losing at the same pace as you, actually a bit slower because you are 3.5 weeks after me. I do exercise, 3-5 days a week for about one hour of pretty vigorous workout, but this is the pace my body is losing at with the pouch I have been given. I eat about 1100 calories a day, tracked on fitday. I am not using mederma, I did buy those silicone scar strips, but haven't been consistent with them. As far as your fears go, you are doing great, and it doesn't do us any good to worry. (though it's natural to do so, and I think most of us do) Just keep educating yourself about your pouch and taking in the advice of your doctor and others who've gone before us. Never apologize for asking questions, I love the discussions that get generated when people post their concerns, ideas and victories here it really helps me, so thank you!
