I never realized....
how well children work into my exercise schedule. I don't "exercise" like I probably should be but I discoved that by putting my almost 2 yr old daughter on my shins near my feet and I lift her up and down. Boy I got quite the workout, she enjoyed herself and we bonded and spent quality time together.
My almost 6 yr old when my back aches. He loves to walk on my back. (Was told by a massage therapist that his little feet cannot do damage that an adult can do) So boy, does my back feel great and he loves walking all over me......I lift my 6 yr old too like weights too and he just giggles and laughs and it gives us some quality time. He thinks its rough-housing but I consider it our play time/quality time together.
Never realized how much they are a part of my exercise routine....LOL...I love my children, even if they didn't help me get exercising....LOL....

Well I simply get up at 6am. My husband and daughter are still sleeping. I get to the gym for about 6:30am. I exercise for about 1.5 hours and then head back home. So I get in at about 8:30am and they are both still sleeping. Hubby usually gets up a few minutes later and Kenzie sleeps till 9 or 10. So she never even knows I left. With having a 6 year old and having school and all that maybe you could try getting up early like that and taking a 30 minute walk or something like that. I am not sure what your personal life is like but if your hubby is there or your SO maybe he can stay with the kiddies. Unless he goes to work at 6am, you may try getting up before he goes to work and walk, or do an exercise tape. Or, when your oldest is in school and your youngest is down for a nap or having play time you could put on that exercise tape.
It sounds like you have a sort of routine going on with both your kids. I would also suggest you buy a pedometer. You'd be suprised how many steps you take in a day.
