Excessive Stalling
Hello!
I seem to have the same weight loss pattern as you. It was frustrating at first, but now I just accept it and wait for each stall to end. I'm down 47 pounds since surgery and a total of 57 with the month of dieting before. I'm just happy that the weight is coming off. How much have you lost?

I have been stalled now for three weeks and was so disappointed today when I got on the scale and had GAINED 3 pounds. I have been doing everything I should be.....not eating anything I shouldn't. The only thing I can think I am doing wrong is not eating enough. Today I have resolved to exercise more and get more protein. I already get about 80 grams of protein a day and walk three miles a day but this horrible plateau has got to go! I have lost 80 pounds in 3 1/2 months... will be four months on January 9 and feel like I am falling behind so many of the others who had surgery on or around my date!
Absolutly. I have even gone up a few pounds lost them, stalled, lost a few stalled. I find that I will loose 1 week and stall 2. I am just happy when I finally lose. It is hard not to obsess but I keep telling myself it is only temporary and I will lose again. But if it is longer then 3 weeks I start telling myself that this is it and I am stuck here. Just when I am at my wits end I lose a pound or 2. UGH, it is a viscious cycle. lol

I just posted the other day that I had the same things happening. I went to the dietician with ALL of my FitDay printouts from the past 2 months (yes, I'm obsessive!) - and she said I need to bump my calories up. I'm only eating about 600 - 700 per day - and she wants it at LEAST 1000. She thinks that's why I'm stalling so much.

Thank God I'm seeing this post. I was going kinda crazy cause I lost almost 10 lbs since my last weigh in and was stalled at almost 3 weeks..now that I see all of you stalling I feel better that I'm not alone. I signed up with a personal trainer and he said since I'm not eating as much I shouldn't exercise that hard. I was doing 1 hr cardio with weight training 3 times a week at the gym - and then 1 hr cardio at home on my treadmill the other days and I was pushing it. We have to work smarter not harder said Luis. If you're not eating like before then you don't need to work that hard exercising - you do have to exercise - I'm not saying that but you don't have to push yourself because your body can rebel against you. So I changed my exercise to Fat Burning mode (going at my heart rate) and laying off the weights until I train with him. And that must have done the trick - I have just lost 3 lbs this week which makes my total loss at 60 lbs thus far. Have much to go! Ooh yea, and don't weigh yourself constantly. I moved the scale in the kitchen - so that I do it once a week.
