WHAT IS YOUR HAIR LIKE

Eric's is coming out in clumps. If he washes it, I pulling it off the walls and drain cover. He fills a brush in three days. He has shoulder length hair, with a buzz cut underneath. (look at our site to see), and it's fine hair... now it's fine and thinning. Most of it is breakage. We thought about cutting it, but he has a scar in the middle of his forehead and a cowlick that causes any short haircut to look silly. I shed, but not as bad and my hair is so think (more like a mane) that you can't tell except for the shedding. Christina

I now have a little balding patch just above my forehead. I grow the hair above/around it longer to cover the light spot. Weird and I hope it stops soon. Leslie

What a diff a day can make! Mine is just now starting to come out for real! I wondered this weekend when I saw a few extra strands in the brush, but now... lots of strands everytime I touch my hair - with root, just like you mentioned. I've lost a lot of hair twice in my life... Once while pregnant with first baby and another time when my thyroid was all out of whack a few years ago. I didn't like it, but it's bearable. I don't have thick hair but I don't think anyone really noticed the loss. I lost more behind my ears than anywhere else. I'm expecting the same this go around! We'll see! Here's to hats! Nan

Mine is coming out as well. It has slowed some since I upped my protein and started taking Biotin. I also am using Nioxin shampoo and conditioner, but that can get expensive, luckily I get it at hairdresser rate. My doc's office also suggested a little extra zinc.

MINE TOO!!!! Ugh its driving me nuts . People are starting to notice, you can see my scalp on the sides. I am taking Flax Seed Oil which my doctor recommended and upped my protein intake. To top it off I am now pregnant being only 4 months post-op. I don't know what to do about the hair anymore. It's all the time. Combing, showering, just touching it. Any other recommendations?

I've lost 60% of my hair!!!! Of course I lost it all before surgery LOL. Have not had any hair problems so far, but how would I tell? I really am sympathetic to the hair loss situation, but I couldn' t resist having a little fun. I haven't had much hair since I was about 25. Be wishes on your hair recovery!

I have a very different experience. My hair is now growing faster than it ever has and is actually thicker than it has ever been and very healthy looking. But I make sure to take all my vitamins, get my water in ( at least 64 oz if not more) and have a high protien intake (74-90 grams/day). But, I did hear around month 3-6 is when the hair loss occurs, but your intake of protien makes a big difference and because my hair is one of the few physical looks about my body that I have always loved, I am very strict about getting all that protein in.
