Don't worry you are doing fine. my date was 9/17 and i'm down "only" 61lbs. I started at 331lbs. But, keep in mind, our bodies are all different, and remember these are lbs. that are gone forever! Don't sweat the small stuff, be comfortable with what you have accomplished, it will come off. Don't know about you but i'm losing more inches than lbs. When I started I was a size 58 suit, now i'm down to a size 50, and i'm barely into that, so I am VERY happy. But, when you stall., you have to do more to kick start the weight loss again. More walking and or exercise. I walk more than I ever have. I park far away from store entrances, I use stairs at work instead of elevators, etc. it is all exercise, and it all counts. Keep the faith. Steel

I am just lurking from the November board, and thought I'd jump in to this one. Something to keep in mind is that when we lose too fast our skin cannot keep up and loses more of its elasticity. That's why when people lose weight slow and naturally (non-surgical) they tend not to have as much lose hanging skin. So look at it that way. Maybe you won't need as much (or any!) reconstruction. Like you said, the scale has not stopped. Perhaps you shouldn't be weighing yourself so often. Maybe that will help decrease the anxiety. Eating as little as we are you can't not lose weight. Just give it some time, and think about how nice your skin will be since you lost it slower. Best wishes! Lori

I had my surgery the day after you and I've "only" lost 44 lbs. I've lost 65 in all, but I lost 21 before my surgery (Starting August 17). I think you're doing great!! I was "stuck" at 57 for about 3 weeks, but in the last two weeks, I've lost 8 more lbs. During the Christmas Holidays, no less!! Keep doing the right thing and you will "arrive".

I had my surgery on 9/20 and started at 233 and now at 167 so that makes me down "only" 66 lbs too...I am kind of neurotic about getting on the scale EVERY Sunday but I also take measurements of different parts of my body. That seems to make me feel better because some weeks I may have only lost 1 or 2 lbs but I have lost inches and that seems to calm me. Just think of it this way...If you keep losing like this then at your 1 yr check up you will be so tiny and feeling good about yourself. I haven't drank ANYTHING excep****er and an occasional tea and I am sooo irresponsible about getting all of my protein in. I think there are some things that all of us could do different but this is a learning time still for most of us. Good Luck and keep your chin up Brandy
