shopping shocker...

Greetings September losers!!! Today I went shopping. I have bought very few clothes since my RNY on 9-3-04. I've lost about 65lbs and my clothes look ridiculous!!! Has anyone else avoided buying clothes? I think it's the feeling this weight loss isn't "real", y'know? Anyway, I went into the fitting room with about 7 articles of clothing--and guess what!! They were ALL too big!!! And the very best part? Some of the clothing I bought didn't have any "X"s at all!!!! I've gone from a 3XL (sometimes a 4XL) to plain ole' large!!! Pants are real hoot---I have no butt!!! Speaking of no butt, I bought new underwear for the first time, too!! Can you imagine? I'm surprised my old fruit of the looms didn't ride up to my armpits!! I refrained, but it was really difficult not to buy every large I put my hands on just because it might actually fit!!! Is this fun, or what?? Beth -65

Amanda! I'm laughing hysterically here!! Butt is one thing but this weight loss and boobs is another comedy routine, that's for sure!!! I used to wear a 42DD...Now I think I need a 40 long... From one loser to another, Beth

I'm completely bumming about my boobs. I was a 42F and two weeks ago I got fitted in a 38DD (she said I might fit a D but I didn't believe her because I haven't been a D since high school). I have worn my new bra for 2 weeks and it is BIG on me already. I mean big around and in the cup. I can't keep buying bras every two weeks and I certainly hope I don't lose them entirely since I haven't been flat chested since I was in middle school and wouldn't feel like me. I have always had full breasts until recently and they are so sad now... like tube socks with change in them. As far as the other clothes, I have been shopping my closet, friends/families closets and Goodwill because I refuse to spend alot on clothes I won't wear in a month. On the plus side, I bought some XL "suck em in" underwear the same day as the bra and was pleasantly surprised to see they fit... they are now also bigger but I think they will outlast the bra. Hi Susan, The procedure was EASY (thank goodness!) and I woke up completely awake with a little sore throat. The doctor suggested I just do liquids for the day so I wouldn't agitate my throat. I have to do it again on January 14th because they couldn't expand it enough. I was at 5mm and he brought me to 11mm but said he couldn't get the scope in so he has to repeat the process. I am able to eat more than before but I still am conservative because it makes me nervous after all these months of overfilling so easily. Anyway, thanks for checking on me! Laura

Oh yeah - I'm avoiding it, considering I don't have any $$$ to buy new stuff right now anyway! My jeans looks ridiculous! They are hanging off... and they look like clown pants! It's so cool! I've been 'shopping in my closet' though and finding tops that I haven't been able to wear in several years!
