Hey Everyone, Seasons Greetings. I spoke to my friend that had the surgery about 2 years ago (before me obviously) and he has a friend that had it even before him. Apparently this guy gained 80 to 100lbs back. My friend is not sure how much he lost from the surgery but that is a WHOLE lot to gain back. I didn't actually think it was truly and really physically possible. Does anyone else know anyone or have heard of anyone that gained THAT much weight back. I've lost 60lbs so far woooooooooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooooo!!!!!

Unfortunately yes, it's possible, and I've read and met several people who have. That's why this 'tool' is only that - it doesn't change our brain, and we can push our limits. We have to change our daily habits and lifestyles, or after the 'honeymoon' we can go right back to the old ways.

It seems everyone I speak too has a story of how a relative or friend that has gained it all back. It is so discouraging to hear these stories, I wonder why so many people have to share these stories after they hear how much I have lost. Kinda seems like they want to burst your (my) bubble. WE are a new generation of losers and as I see it "Once a loser always a loser" Just make your new lifestyle your priorty and never forget it, and we all should be just fine. I have started going to Overeaters Anonymous to help me to stop the cravings when I am bored. RNY-LAP 9-27-04 387 At first consult 372 At preOp 295 Today 175 Goal

I know it sounds tacky to say, but you may want to check out Dr. Phil's book. It really makes you take a look at why you eat. I've lost almost 70lbs (4 months post-op) and starting to realize that I need to re-think the way I chose my food. The book has helped me dawn
