SEASON'S GREETINGS (M)
Thought I would pop my head in here to see how everyone is doing.
Yesterday was a wonderful day in our household. We had all our children with us which was SO much better than last year, when Matt (our eldest) was in Iraq. We also spent time with Mike's family and got to visit with his brother Eric who had WLS last March. He has lost well in excess of 215 lbs. and he looked wonderful (but then again ALL the Carpenter menfolks are cuties) He also brought up some clothes from his WLS group in Indy and all I can say is THANK YOU! Man I desperately needed them.
Mike and I are both working two jobs now and loving it, even if it can get hectic at times.... that is one reason that you folks don't see me much online anymore. I leave the bank and am clocked in at my second job within 15-20 mins. and I normally don't get home much before 9p.m. at the earliest or even as late as midnight *yawn*...but we love it~!
I'm just a few days over 3 months out from my LAP RNY with Dr. Wagner (St. A's in St. Louie) and I'm down 80lbs!.. Pretty cool eh? I can wear 18's and 18-20's now which is a far cry from 3x-4x and sz. 24's. I have had an pretty uneventful time of it... only having a few episodes of getting sick due to food getting hung.. not a biggie... I just deal with it and go on... doesn't last but a few minutes. I am having no issues with any foods other than not tolerating cold foods first thing in the A.M. which is not hard to work around.
Hope that this post finds everyone in good spirits and that the holiday season is filled with happiness and joy!....
Be good to yourselves and don't forget to get your fluids in! It is very easy to get dehydrated during the colder weather...
