hi, i called my dr's office and the surgeon felt this was pretty normal at my stage. eat more often and just a few spoons or bites is ok. i do trust her. she said the 1st step to diagnosing a possible blockage is the swallow test. is this what you've had to do if you've had this issue? i remember that from the hospital and i swore is was just the worst tasting thing and i'd never do it again. i don't have to get sick after eating (well, i have a few times in the past month but when i know i ate too too fast before an appointment). i can drink ok. no frothing or anything. i am going to wait it out, eat pudding & soup for a while with protein powder and wait it out over the holidays. honestly, the idea of swallowing that stuff again makes me gag thinking about it. susan

Hi Susan, The only swallow test I had was in the hospital one day after my surgery. All doctors are different. I trust my surgeon also. My surgeon said the same thing for several weeks, to wait to see if it cleared up. He wanted to wait another 2 weeks when I went to see him the last time before my endoscopy. I was in so much pain when I tried to eat at that point that I had decided I was not going to take no for an answer and I think he could tell by the look on my face. He agreed to go ahead and do the procedure. If you start to feel worse, get aggressive with your doctor, this is your health and life, not hers. Lisa
