MINE IS MY BEST FRIEND RHONDA WHO HAD THE SAME SURGERY THE SAME DAY AS I DID. WE PROMISED TO BE THERE FOR EACH OTHER EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. IT IS REALLY GREAT HAVING SOMEONE WHO TRULY KNOWS AND UNDERSTANDS WHAT I'M GOING THROUGH. BESIDES YA'LL OF COURSE I AM SO GLAD WE DID THIS ON THE SAME DAY.
BY THE WAY RHONDA HAS LOST 84 LBS AND 6 SIZES SO FAR. WOOHOO!

46 POUNDS FROM GOAL!!
My biggest support has been me, I have people that care but my boyfriend seems to be sabotaging me lately and everyone else are always full of compliments. I have to be my biggest supporter because I also tend to be my biggest critic.

Surgery on the same day. He loves being able to get his arms around me for a long hug. He will rub my back when I'm purging. He solves the problem when I fail a first attempt at a new dish. He tells me I'm beautiful and sexy.
Our newest scare right now is a spot on my mammogram. He's so calm and matter-of-fact. "Whatever it is, we'll take care of it." How can you argue?
Ok.. I'm sappy here. Eventually you guys are going to tell me to shut it about the hunny.
Hi guys
I'm blessed with a good support system.
My hubby has been great every step of the way. We've been married 17 years and he's seen my weight go all over the place. He never complained about it, but he sure listened to me complain about it a lot!
Now he gets to hear about wls all the time! He's a good guy. My folks were scared at first, especially my mom, but now that I'm doing well, they are probably as big of a support to me as my hubby. We have an official weigh in at their house every monday morning on their dr. scale. They are trying to lose weight the old fashion way. We measure once a month and are all using fitday. It's like my own mini weight loss club. Plus, I would be remiss if I didn't mention everyone here! Besides you guys, my September buds, I've made some friends on the California board and even attended a couple of get togethers through this board. Fun!

237.5 highest weight/228 surgery day/178/??? don't know what my goal is yet! Slow loser but proud loser!!!
56! Way to go!
Hmm, my biggest supporter? Well I've been trying to keep everything pretty quiet and as I tend not to get out of the house much I don't know many people locally but before surgery my mum was always there to listen to all my crazy theories and she didn't yell at me too much when I would wake her up everynight after reading stuff on this site and she of course is always there for me. My stepdad was shipped off to Iraq a week after my surgery and the rest of my family lives on the mainland so they're out. Plus, this site has been great, I may not talk to a lot of other people on here, but I love watching everyones progress (even if I get terribly jealous!)
And I just have to say that I hope that someday I have someone to lean on like Christina does, it may be sappy, true but it would be nice. You're so lucky. *sighs* lol
Hi Everyone!
My biggest supporters are my husband, Bob, and my 4 year old, Joshua. I couldn't have done this without them. When family members were so against the surgery and constantly pushing me to try another "diet", Bob was there to undo the damage. Bob and Josh have been my rocks though this whole journey and it will take a lifetime for me to repay them. Bob and I have been married for almost 12 years and I feel very lucky to have found the love of my life. I feel even more lucky to have had the surgery and to be on the road to better health and hopefully many more years with my two men. Joshua is always telling me how pretty I look and is always concerned about my feelings when I tell him I can't have a particular food. He's the sweetest little boy! Enough for now since this question is getting me all choked up.
Thank you Bob & Josh!

I have so many wonderful supporters...my co-workers are terrific. My friends are terrific. My kids are terrific. My family is terrific. The best ones though have been my husband Bill and my sister Cindy. Cindy had WLS a year ago (3 lbs from goal!) and WLS has definately made her and I alot closer. She calls me (long distance) 3-4 times a week just to cheer me on. Gotta love her for that!

My hubby and 2 daughters. My hubby listens and praises me all the time. He was so supportive when I decided to have the surgery and still keeps it up. Also, my daughters ask me if I am allowed to have whatever I am fixing. If not, they make sure I don't sneak a bite (wouldn't anyway because of the awful feeling that would follow, but they don't have to know that). They think they are being so protective, so I don't tell them any different. The rest of my family won't discuss the surgery or results at all. Kinda depressing, but I am happy enough for myself, so it is fine.
