Anti-Depressants

Hi everyone! I'm curious if anyone had to decrease the amount of anti-depressant they were taking following surgery? Specifically, I'm curious about Zoloft as I was taking 100 mg. one time a day for years ("to take the edge off") but now I feel like I don't have any feelings at all...good, bad or indifferent! Anyone else experience this??? I go see my surgeon next week and will discuss this with him, but I was curious what everyone else has experienced. Thanks! - DJ 250/206/140

I am off all my blood pressure meds, but I am still taking Prozac. I take 20 mg. and wondered if I could reduce it to 10, but I am scared to ask. I really don't feel any different emotionally yet. Sounds like you certainly do though, so I think talking to your doctor about it is a great idea. Best Wishes. Pamela

I didn't to Zoloft. I was on a nice little ****tail: 4mg Zanaflex (tension) 400mg Celebrex (arthritis in my back) 150mg Trazidone (anti-depressant generic) And they were about to up the anti-depressant. It helped take the edge off and stopped me from feeling 24/7 debilitating headaches. I haven't taken anything since the night before surgery. September 20. I was told I could take the first two occasionally (during my period) if I wanted to as long as I first took Nexium. But I'm trying to survive without. As for the headaches, I take Liquid Adult Tylenol if my head bugs me.
