Hey gals, I was schedualed to start my period last sunday, and boy did I feel like I was going too. You know that feeling you get before/durring your period? well I had that feeling, i was crampy, and totally pmsing. Well my period never came, and it still hasnt. Do you think its just from the weight loss? Its been normal since my surgery until now. There is no chance of pregnancy but i just want to be sure everythings ok. Thanks ladies. With love, Em

Your not alone. I skipped my period the first month after surgery, then the next month I had the worst period of my life! Now I am late again. I think our bodies are in shock, lol.

I totally skipped the first month and then had a fairly "normal" one the second month and then have had "gusher" this month.(Sorry for the Graphics!! I couldn't think of a more tasteful way of phrasing it!!) My doctor said that it is entirely normal to have irregularities. Our bodies are adjusting to everything!!

Hi Girls Please pardon my pun, but I had to respond to this one. Just reading all of your posts has me in so much pain that I thank God I don't have to worry about this ever again. It is posts like these that have me grateful I had a hysterectomy back i***** I feel for all of you I really do. I used to get such bad cramps and heavy flows, that even now when my daughters get their periods, I cringe just at the thought of what I used to go through. I hope that when you do finally get back on track, each month will go smoothly without all the monthly complaints. Good Luck! Marianne

I was on the second week of the patch when I went under for surgery. I started a period in the hospital the next day. It went on for over a week. I was off a week and a half. Then back on for two weeks straight. All while slapping the stupid patch on that gives me a rash. Then I was off 2 1/2 weeks. Then started early (4 days) from the time I was suppose to start. How I'm suppose to schedule a PAP I have no idea!! So see.. you are not alone. I was told if we have break-throughs we need to double up our BCP medication to get it under control until we are less than 200 pounds. Yeah.. try explaining that to an insurance company! As for skipping.. at this point I'd trade you problems anyday!
