Can you take me under ur wing????

Hi guys yes i know i wondered from the NC board but i am gettin reday to move to New York in january in the Floyd Bennett Field.... my hubby is a USMC reservist and we are gettin stationed there .... i need to be set up with support groups and possibly some closeby friends.... i just need someone to take me under there wing... i have never been to new york and i am from a itty bitty farmer town in illinois. So i am goin to be scared out of my wits .... so if ya want to be well friends with me you can email me... i had surg on 09-09-04 and i am now down 80 lbs....
