Ok so i was just wondering how surgery has effected your sex drive. i maybe want (it) once or twice a month, my poor Dh. I keep hoping this may change as i start to feel sexier. Although 61 pounds gone and I feel just the same. Well I know our hormones are also a little screwwy.

Well, i must say that i feel fortunate. My sex drive has increased tremendously. If i could have sex on a daily basis, that would be fine with me, but that is not possible, so i have to settle for a few times a week. I have lost 77 lbs and feel like my confidence is good, but as far as "sexy" goes...i only feel that way sometimes. It helps when "everyone" begins to notice and compliment you on how good you are looking. That is just an extra confidence booster. Good luck in the "sex" department. Try to get those hormones in check. Missy

Mine has decreased. Once he makes a move, I don't turn him down, but I don't initiate it either like I use to. I learned a few weeks ago that my thyroid had quit functioning and a decrease in interest/drive is one of it's many symptoms. I started on meds for it last week and I'm hoping that once that it gets stabalized, the revv will come back!

Shannon ya perv As for me... Our frequency is probably a bit down, it's not that I don't want it, it's just that it's been wiping me out afterward. I feel like I need a few days to recover! I've been having some post-sex cramping and hip pain on one side. I've had this since before surgery so I think i need to get it checked out in case I have a cyst or fibroids or something. Does anyone else experience this? ~Sue

From the male perspective, my sex drive is up. It was at nearly nothing before surgery. I have self confidence and the energy to perform. Dennis

Both of us had surgery the same day. With my hormones all wacky, I was having my period too often to even think about sex. After a 2 week period, I finally quiet long enough to get in the mood - which I'm the difficult one. All I have to do is give my husband "that look" and he's pulling me into the bedroom! Once we did have sex, it was amazing! Between us we were down 90 pounds at the time, which was very, very helpful. The only down side was the fact that my legs hurt the next day! As for the sexier, the first time I felt sexy was when I dressed up for my husband's office Christmas party. I purchased a new dress, put on makeup, did my hair, and once I was all dolled up - then I felt pretty and sexy. My suggestion is to talk to your hubby and come up with some ways to spice things up. That may help you fight the hormones.

I have to agree with Dennis. Probably because we are males but it has increased 20X. My wife is very happy!!
