hi andrea, the two rules - protein and water - i alternate which is the hardest thing to do - sometimes i get both in but often one day i get in my protein and the next day i get in my water. i am shooting for 64 oz of water (i can always get in at least 32) and 60 grams of protein (sometimes i shoot way over that). it all depends. maybe i need to make 48 hour days! susan

Well, as I've been told so many times. WLS is a tool...just make up your mind to get back on that horse, ride and don't look back. I find it to be a bit easier to stick with a decision after having surgery than I was able to do before. I am confident that you will do what you need to. Don't be too hard on yourself. We are human. I saw your pix on your profile page... you look great, wow I can see a difference. And the baby is cute sleeping in the background....LOL Agape: Andrea J.

Not eating carbs is our hardest thing. At least we are trying to cheat in a smart way. I looked at all the labels and settled on - Melba type toast (4g per slice), Ritz crackers (2g per), low carb small burrito shells (4.5g for half a shell), and soy pasta in .5 oz per sitting. We still don't so stuffing, potatoes, or rice. Since we do not drink a lot of carbs, we figure as long as we are under the 40g/day, we are not cheating too bad. We still don't do all the liquid we should. As a treat, we'll go get soup which counts as a liquid, but can still have some protein in it. Again, we try to be smart about the carbs.

Great! Thanx for your input. The carbs truly are a monster we must all recon with. Those are some great choices. Thanx for sharing them. I don't know what Melba Toast is....I'll check it out. Agape: Andrea J.
