Quick Intro

Hi, My name is Dawn and I had WLS on 9/23/04. So far I'm down 70 pounds. My pre-op weight was 399. I live in Orlando with my husband Omar who had WLS in April 2003 and has lost 318 pounds as of yesterday. I didn't know this MB existed until tonight. Dawn, Great newsa you found us. Yiu and hubby are diubg great. You will have a lot to cecbrate this christmas. My surgery was 9-8-04 and I've lost 42 pounds. It's been an amaging journey for me. I just had dinner with my support group and the stories and pic were unbelievable. Yes this is a great second chance on life. I'm hopong to be under 200 by next week. Wish me luck. Welcome Dolores

Hi Dawn Welcome and congrats on your and your husband's success! I'm so glad you found us! Just like Delores said, there is so much to learn here and so much support. I'm sure you have much wisdom to share with us as well since you've already watched this process with Omar. What a phenomenal amount he's lost! That's so inspiring! You are doing excellent as well! Hope to hear from you again soon. You're going to really enjoy this website! Make sure you check out the message board for your state also, if you haven't already. It's nice to have this board to talk to others at the same point in their journey, and also to have the local boards to meet others, find support groups and social activities in your area. ~Sue

Wow your weight loss has been wonderful. I'm a bit slower and have only lost 36# since 9/22...but who's complaining? What a wonderufl Christmas it will be for you and your DH. Hugs Rosey
