Hi everyone
Dolores,
You may already know this, and I'm sorry for repeating if you do...
With RNY, the opening from the pouch to the intestines can begin to close up. This happens due to scar tissue. It does cause vomiting. Please contact your surgeon's office. If they suspect this is happening to you, they will want to do an endoscopy to check things out. It's a simple 10 minute procedure that you are in la-la land for. They go through the throat with a scope and take pics. They will check if you have any ulcers (which can also cause vomiting) and dialate the opening back to where it should be (~15mm) if needed. I've had it done 3 times. I was closed to 7 twice and 9 once and one ulcer found. Don't wait and wait to see if the vomiting improves before calling your doc because you'll be running the risk of getting dehydrated if you do. Another cause may be a particle stuck (for me it was a bit of scrambled egg) or lactose intollerant (I'm just cold milk intollerant). Either way, call your surgeon..k?
Best of luck,
Sherri

Thanks for sharing. It really sound like the procedure should have been more painful. Your comments have made me less scared. Sometimes I can eat and sometimes I vomit. It seems if I had a blockage it would be all the time . I think may be it the food that my pouch doesn't like some time or I eat to fast Or something. Thanks and I'll keep you posted. Hugs Dolores
