hi, i just can't get the hang of protein shakes and using protein powder. i've tried the nectars and they were kind of gloppy. i bought any whey powder and tried it in hot cocoa (once before i added the water and once after) and it was always so gloppy i had to throw it out. how do you use your protein powder? do you like it? and how do you make your protein shakes???? thank you! susan

I use Isopure. They have many flavors and 1 drink has 50 grams of protien. I blend it in a blender or food processor. I also use low carb milk instead of water. With the low carb milk and the powder you get 68 grams of protien at once. I drink it very slowly because it whips up very thick and creamy. I get it off a web site. Just type in isopure and search. You will find it. I love it!

Hi, I use advantage EAS whey protein. I buy the vanilla and then add flavoring or use it in International coffees. When I just use flavorings it tastes like slightly sweetened milk. I don't drink milk anymore, so I blend it with water and it tastes great. Only 110 calories with water and 22 grams of protein. I do three a day with small meals in between and I'm 60 pounds down. I like the Pure Whey products by Champion Nutrition, and Designer Whey. I buy the vanilla and add unsweetened cocoa to it. I blend it in a blender with cold skim milk (8 oz) and 4 ice cubes. It is thick and creamy like a chocolate milk shake to me. My doctor's office sells one that I like by a company called Kakani Falls. I really like the hot chocolate, cappuccino, and some of the fruit flavors. Good luck. Getting in all of your protein is SOOOOO vital!

I like the Nectars. They are gloppy at first, but if you let it sit for a few minutes, then stir again it usually fine. I also like Unjury, they have unflavored you can add to food and I really like their chocolate. I mix it with Carb Countdown skim milk and it is yummy. Also gloppy at first, but dissolves well after a few minutes. If I am home, the "wand" type blender works the best! Good Luck, Carmen

I use Nectar or Elite's Pina Colada. I usually use a whisk to mix it up..which works well. Using a blender didn't sit well with my pounch because of the excess air it introduced. I had tried the Isopure at GNC..and yuck (for me). Sherri
