I couldn't get an answer on the other board, so I'm trying here. Every now and then I'm experiencing slight burning after I eat in different areas around my stomach (not the pouch, but the belly). Has anyone else experienced this? Why does it happen and when should I be concerned. I'm officially two months out, and can eat pretty much anything. Johanna

Sorry Johanna, I haven't heard of this, so I have no wisdom to offer. Make sure you ask your doc! Hope you feel better soon, and that it turns out to be nothing to worry about it. ~Sue

I'm sorry but I do not have the answer. I have gas pains in my abdomen after eating occassionally. I would describe it as sharp and lasting only a moment. I wish I had a good answer for you. How's the weight loss?? Dolores

Hi! I have the same thing. Weird, huh? I just talked to my doctor on Tuesday, before my second endoscopy and he asked if wearing my binder helped that. I thought it did, but then he said nothing else about it. He felt in the area of my tenderness and that burning feeling and that was that. ? I don't like not knowing. I think that it might be muscles adjusting themselves after the surgery. I feel that when I don't eat too. So worried I was/am getting a hernia. ? Wish he would have said more about it, but when your doc. isn't concerned, I guess you shouldn't be either. BUT--with that said, that means you could make a quick call to your surgeon's office and chat with the nurse about it. My very best to you and all of our wonderful group of September 2004! Love, Michelle
