Thank you
Thanks guys for the help. Once I got laid up with the infection, I did stop walking for a while and now I'm trying to get my strength back to walk more. I go out each day and walk maybe 2 to 3 blocks. By the time I get back I am exhausted. I'm also having a real hard time eating. Almost everything I try to eat comes back up. I eat maybe 2 to 3 ounces a day, and I know that isn't enough. Also, I have absolutely no appetite. I have to remind myself to try and eat something. That I find is so weird, since prior to surgery I loved to cook gourmet meals for friends and family (and eat it also!).
I also received a call from my doc a little while ago who said that my blood sugars were kind of high and that there was signs of infection in my urine sample. I am wondering if I still have a kidney infection? I will find out more on Monday.
Again, thanks and God Bless,
Cindy
I know what you mean about not being able to eat much. Everything I consume usually comes right back up. The ladies at my support meeting said that should pass. Apparently a few of them suffered from that up until 12 or so weeks out. I am about 10 now so hopefully it will pass. I have a hard time getting everything in. So far my saving grace for protein is my protine drink. That alone gives me 40 grams. I have to get my protein up because my hair has alreay started falling out. I went through this after giving birth so I am not totally freaking out but I hate being covered in my hair all the time. Today I got almost 50 grams of protein in and that is HUGE for me. I suggest you just keep trying. As long as you know you don't have a stricture(sp) or something like that.
I hope you don't have a kidney infection. They suck and can become very dangerous if left untreated. Hopefully when you see your doc on Monday they will just tell you it was a fluke thing.
I wish you all the best and I hope your roller coaster ride slows down.
