Stomach Stretching?

Hi All, I am just about 10 weeks post op and have questions about my new pouch. I've not really had any problems, but this past week I've noticed that I can eat a lot more then I was able to even a few days ago. I am actually feeling hunger. Today I was able to eat a portion the same size as pre-op. Could it be possible that my stomach is stetched already? Suggestions, help?

I really don't know. If your drinking while you eat that would cause the food to go right out of your pouch and you would be able to eat more. I find that some days (when I am able to find something I can tolerate) I will eat more and then other days I can only eat half. Like my yogurt. Sometimes I can only eat a few bites, sometimes half and sometimes the whole 6-8 ounces. Are you getting in enough protein and water? Maybe your eating things that don't fill you up properly. Maybe your just going through a teeny growth spurt. Maybe your metabolism is kicking in and your body is hungrier. I have no idea, but I don't think your stretched out, as long as your following all the things your docotr has told you to follow. When in doubt though, give his/her office a call and ask. You may feel it isn't worth it but they have probably heard everything and hsould be willing to help you out. Best of luck to you... Shannon

Hi, I know exactly what you mean. I think it is just a fear that shows up about this time after surgery. I think the consistance of the food has a great deal to do with it. No we are not stretching our porches. They are healing and can wholed more. Now is the time to make good choices. Lots of luck. How is exercising going? -40 Dolores 10 weeks out
