What are we eating on Thanksgiving?
Hello September People
Just wondering how to handle Thanksgiving
dinner.
I can't do eggs so maybe turkey is a ? I might
try some before the big day as a test.
Mostly I'm thinking of the time after I'm done and
everybody else is still eating---- what do I do with my hands? I was never good at small talk which is why I ate so much.
... and if you buy that I have some swamp land you might want to look at...
But really, I am interested in any help with my first big sit down meal.
Thanks and happy losing guys!

Hi Ruth!
I intend to eat some dark meat turkey with gravy. The dark meat is the moistest and the gravy helps it go down easier for me. I usually make a low-fat/low-carb gravy, but since I'm having dinner at my sister's, I'll have to splurge with the real thing. I'll probably also have a bit of the green bean casserole and then hold out for a special surgar free dessert. I'll be making the regular pumpkin pies and the bourbon chocolate pecan tart for everyone else and have to find a great legal dessert for me.
As for getting done before everyone else...I always try to take very small bites and then put my fork down and chew, chew, chew. I find that when I do this I'm not finished quite so fast.
Good luck on Turkey Day! I'm sure you'll do fine.

Hi Ruth,
I am planning on having turkey and green beans and alittle stuffing. And for desert pumkin pie. I made some pumpkin pies last weekend with splenda and they turned out beautifully and tasted like regular pumpkin pie. I too am going to eat this in two meal settings. So have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Ps.
Just to remember to eat very slowly and chew well you may end up being the last one at the table still trying to finish.

My family and I will be spending Thanksgiving at my in-law's this year. I plan on a total of 5-6 oz of Thanksgiving Dinner. This is going to include: Dark Turkey Meat w/ a little gravy, sweet potato that I will bring for myself from home, veggie, and for dessert jello sugarfree/fatfree instant pistachio pudding that I will also bring from home. Everyone loves my sweet potato pie which I will make to bring for dinner but none for me---too much SUGAR. Instead of cranberry sauce replace that with sugar free applesauce. I am also going to bring my WW scale so I can measure everything going on my plate! At least we don't have to worry about overeating this year!!! Remember to be good and follow your Dr's meal plan orders!!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE!!!
Hugs
