I had my surgery on Sept.15 and have pain in my hips and leg. Does anyone else have this who had their surgery around the time I did? I have lost 45 pounds and someone said it may be from rapid weight loss. Help would be appreciated.

My torso (especially back and waist) is usually sore when I wake up. I think it's because of the WL and how I sleep. It couldn't hurt to call your doc. nancy

I have had hip pain on and off. It seems to get better when I stall on my weight loss, which is when your body is adjusting to the weight loss. I was told that your body needs to adjust to carrying your weight differently. You had a different balance of weight on your hips before and now your bones and muscles need to adjust to less weight. The fact that you have lost weight so quickly doesn't help your body to adjust as fast as you would like. I was told that it is normal, but it sure hurts a lot sometimes. Kell

I had my surgery on 9/14 and I had really bad joint pain for about 7-10 days and the MD said it would go away it is just how your body is adjusting and sometimes how your body is using up the protien, but it got better good luck.
