...is to be able to keep eating popcorn. Goes down fine (no at all) but it's still a because of how much I could eat at one time. Just looking for stop the mental about yes or no (or just wait till later.) Thanks September people, I can be honest here

I haven't tried it yet but I look forward to it. Maybe your not chewing enough. I have a friend whose had the surgery and she is a little further out then us. She said the only way she can eat it is if she chews small amounts and really pulverizes it in her mouth before swallowing. Are you eating it plain? If your not maybe what ever is on it isn't agreeing with your tummy. I hope you find something that works. Also, I know they sell individual servings. If your popping your own try only taking so much in your bowl. Keeping it in the bag and eating out of the bag can be a big no no because your mind forgets your belly cant eat like it use to. Best of luck to you....... Shannon

I had popcorn for the first time this week, it was awesome!! It was Orville Movie Theater butter kind and I was sooo happy it stayed down and felt fine...I ate about 1/3 of the bag, very slowly of course and chewing like crazy!! I have a great friend 2 yr post op who was with me at the time saying slow down...Melissa

We were told to avoid it for 3-6 mos... because the husks can clog up the outlet. I saw on HSN they now have husk free popcorn! Guess what I'm getting for Christmas!!!

I think it is on my month 6 list... but ....air popped and if need be spray butter...this is our time to make changes in our habits...if we do not do it now...we will not be using our tool as it was mean to be used...not to be preaching though as i did have some chips...but i only had 3 and i was done...not so sure the saying nothing tastes as good as thin feels is gonna work for me...I just think in terms of healthy

I was just out on the Texas board and someone asked the popcorn question and several people replied and said that they could eat it with out any problems. They just eat it very slow and chew chew chew, and not everyday. I haven't tried it yet, but I figure another 50 lbs. I will be able to fit in the movie sets convertible, and I will be going to the movie with my family and I will be trying the popcorn and pickle. (something I haven't done in years) Donna

We went to a movie for the 1st time Friday and I ate it! It was heaven! I limited myself to 1 cup (actually brought the measuring cup with me) so I wouldn't cheat. It went down fine, and actually felt very soothing (mentally and physically). AND, the big plus was that the SEATS fit better at the movie!!!!!

Ruth, I know what you mean. I have had a bit of the smart balance brand, but I'd just as soon avoid it because I'm afraid of not having enough control with the quantities. (even though I wasn't a big popcorn eater before) I guess we're all going to have to figure out for ourselves what we are going to keep having in limited quantities or what it's safer to avoid altogether so as not to overdo it. Good luck and (((hugs))) to you. ~Sue
