10 week weight loss
I'm almost 10 weeks out and I have lost 57 lbs. I'm so excited. I haven't had many complications. Only got sick once (but that was shortly after I got the flu shot). Work is going well and I'm finally starting to feel the difference. I'm starting to get more energy and dispite what I have heard, my hair is growing faster than ever.

You are doing great!! I sure wish I could get in more protein. I worry about the hair loss showing up in a few weeks
I know what you mean about the 12 hour night shifts!! I am a nurse too and used to work nights althought I have done days now for many years. Nights take it out of you---too bad it didn't work on weight lol.

Way to go, Brook!! 56 lbs is awesome, and, yes, I am quite jealous!! (I had surgery the same day as you.) I am away from the scales for two weeks, but think I have lost around 40lbs..........harder to eat when you are in a hotel, at least it is for me....much more .........gotta' hate that. Chicken has really been behaving badly lately with Oscar the Pouch.
I laughed at your saying you were attached to your hair..........hope it stays attached to you!! Mine is thinning pretty much, but oh well. I guess it is only fair since the rest of me is thinning too.........
How I am feeling makes a big difference on what foods I can tolerate. If I know I am anxious or excited or worked up about anything I will have a protien shake or yogurt instead of more solid food, because I know it will sit well. I don't seem to have any propblems with chicken, but I make sure that the chicken that I do eat is very moist. From what I hear alot of people have a problem with chicken. I've also been told that the amount of protien plays a big factor in that hairloss. Not saying you won't lose any, but it helps to decrease the amount that you lose. While keeping your muscle and helping you to lose the extra fat I keep reminding myself of that to make sure I eat enough and take my vitamins
Well I hope Oscar starts behaving a little better for you, it's no fun to be sick.
Oh, and 40 lbs is great. All of us are going to lose at different rates. Generally the more you have to lose, the quicker it goes. Just think 15-20lbs a month isn't bad. That was practically impossible before the surgery!

Thanks for the good words!! Oscar only had one TERRIBLE day at the horse show...necessitating my going back to the hotel for a couple of hours...........whew! And once again, it was silly old chicken...literally two bites! You would think I would learn, lol.
Thanks for the good reminder about the protein and hair loss correlation. I want to work a bit harder on that.............and the water..........
Good luck to everyone! At least the weight is coming off faster than ever before! I have revised my goal of 50lbs off by Thanksgiving to Dec 1st............but that would tickle me to pieces to have lost 50 in 3 months.
