I wonder if i am eating enough..when I see what others are eating...I have not tried sugar...I have not tried any protein bars...I measure out my 3 oz in lil med cups...some days i forget a meal...i did have a piece of a fresh pear, pineapple, cantaloupe, banana, and i have sugar free popcicles and jello and pudding...and i have ate tuna, refried beans, chicken, smoked sausage, ham, fish...and though i may have done ok one time with something the next time i do not....now friday I had lunch at my grandsons school...I had bologana and cheese is all i had...I ended up being sick and throwing that up till 5 pm from 1130 am...first time i had bologna and maybe i should not have...i had baked fish and did just fine...then the next time was sick for hours...I know we each will have our own issues and lose at our own speed.. and protein still is an issue

Hi I do well with fish, chopped meat, shrimp, tonight I tried 1 oz of corned beef and had no problems. Chicken as of recently is a disaster. Terrible stomach pains. Chocolate protein shake is delicious. Vanilla too sweet for me. Have not tried steak nor cold cuts yet. My nutritionist told me to stay away from cold cuts. I have just started eating "Regular" foods so each day is a hit and miss experience. Good Luck! Marianne

Sorry to hear you are struggling. I have been fortunate and not had any problems (knock on wood). Even though I have been given the ok to move to "regular" foods, I still try to stick to softer proteins. I have cheated and had a couple crackers, but otherwise stuck to Dr's orders on what to eat/not to eat. I am still weary of beef, will not try a staek for a couple months, but ground beef (in chili) seems ok if I don't have too much. My nutritionist said not to eat oranges too, but after about 2-3 months they should be ok if you remove the membrane(it can get stuck). I have also tried some protein bars and as long as I chew well, they go down no problem too! They are pretty soft, so you might want to try. Just chew really well. I still get at least 1/2 my protein from drinks though. Carmen
