Gone back to work
I went back to work on November 2. My doctor's note said November 3 but I went a day early. I normally work Tuesday's and Wednesday's. So I went back on Tuesday. Everything went fine. I brought my breakfast/lunch to work so I would not be tempted to eat at Waffle House. I am a waitress there. Everyone was glad to see me back and quite a few of customers as well. Several had noticed that I had lost weight. They complimented me. It felt good. I was tired but I kept up pretty good. Could you believe that after that, my sister and I went walking 3 miles? We have been walking 3miles now for almost 2 weeks now. I would like to build up to 4 but I dont think that is possible right now with time change. Also, my body is not ready yet. I still have to rest halfway.
I am still having trouble getting all my protein in, but, I think I am getting in plenty of liquids. Right now, my weight is 228. I started at 279 at first surgeon consult. I lost 18lbs preop and 33lbs after surgery. I know it is not as fast as some but I think I am considered 'light weight', from what I read. I am pleased anyway. I have not seen this weight since my 13yr old son was an infant. I am still on purreed diet. I will probably advance next week when I go back to my surgeon next tuesday(9th).

Hi Lisa
Congrats on your returning back to work! I had my surgery the day before you and will be returning back to work on Monday. I am a bit nervous, not because I am going back but having to adjust to a new eating schedule as well as water intake during the day. The people in my school know I had the surgery and I only hope that if they tell me I look like I lost weight it will be an honest statement and not just one because they think that this is what I want to hear. I too was as you called it a light weight. My beginning weight was 265 pre op and I am now 225 as of today. I am so happy I lost 40 lbs. I feel good physically as well as about myself. I still have a long way to go but I am determined. I wish you luck with your journey and may you have continued success!
Hugs

Well I am glad to see your back to work. You also prepared ahead of time so that you wouldn't be tempted. That is great thinking. You may have started at a lower weight but there is nothing easy about loosing. I wish you the best and I hope 4 miles isn't that far off.
Good luck with the next stage of your diet....
