How Many Ounces of Food ?
Just wondering how many ounces of food everyone is now up to? Something weird happened to me this week. I saw my Nutritionist last Friday and I had asked about eating pretzels. She said I could use that as a form of carbs and perhaps eat it with 1 teaspoon of peanut butter as a lunch. Well, prior to this appointment my stomach would constantly gurgle everytime I ate or drank. Ever since I had some pretzels with the lf/peanut butter my stomach no longer speaks to me in such an aggressive way. Do you think I could have stretched my pouch out with the pretzels? Or--is it possible that maybe all the gurgling was caused by post op swelling? I am totally baffled by this. I feel fine, it is just that everything goes down easier, even my water no longer hurts. Any ideas on this one? The only time I feel any pressure pain is first thing in the morning when I have to swallow my iron pill (chromagen) which is like swallowing a horse capsule. It feels like it gets stuck for a few seconds.

Same surgery date and just today, our ounces went up at lunch to 2 oz from 1.5.
Tonight we are trying to up our dinner from 2oz to 3oz.. don't know yet.. still eating. Still breakfast is no more than 1oz.
How do ya'll do it? We seem to be very slow with the intake. Eric and I have both had meals come back up from eating to much or to fast.
I saw my Doc today he said I should be taking 4 oz solid per meal, over 45 min to 1 hour, 3 times a day. I have been taking 2oz over 30 min 3 times a day and one protien drink in the morning. I am so afraid I will streeeeeeaaaaach my pouch, I am satisifed with the 2 oz it's all protien foods (meat, fish, cheese, milk, ect). So you are probably ok since you are just one day different than I am, you are most likely just healing and normal. I still can't do raw water, so you sound like you are doing fine.
