Me: I'm 7.5 weeks out from my open rny I've lost 35 lbs I bought size 14 pants today!!! down from sz 22(thrift store!) I keep trying on clothes that are too big (brain's not caught up) I am tracking on fitday and can eat alot. Fighting to not overeat or graze. I have lost 36 lbs, but won't have an offical weigh in unill 11/8 doc appt. Things are going well for the most part but I am having a hard time with protein still. Most meats are still beyond me--they pop right back up!! I am trying to take that slowly still since sometimes bathrooms are hard to find lol. Clothes are smaller but I still have plenty in the closet to move into. Scrubs for work are going to be few and worn to death until this is over. I am increasing the time spent on my exercise bike as my knees permit. They feel somewhat better but still not great and I still can not walk very far. But I have hopes!! I am very glad I had it done and have nothing but postive thoughts about it. I can't wait to see how it all unfolds for me and all you all. Sharon

Well, I have a touch of a nasty stomach flu. . ick. I am down 37 lbs (which is hard to admit when I see that I am not losing as fast as some of the others). I now weigh 226. I have lost two full sizes and feel much better. When I started exercising, I couldn't do 3 sit ups. I literally fell over. Now, I can do 3 sets of 8 to 10. I also so leg lifts and stretches every single day. I walk when I can, but it's not everyday.

Hi, I am 7 weeks out I think...losing track now hehe. I have lost 52 lbs so far going from 322 to 270, that is just amazing to me!! I had a stall that lasted almost 2 weeks but now I am losing great again. I drink one protein shake for 30grams everyday and get the rest of my protein from food. I have been doing yardwork or walking for excercise about 5 days a week. Congratulations to everyone else on your fantastic weight loss, I love to see your updates. Melissa

Hello all.... I am a little over 8 weeks out. I am still having issues with food not wanting to stay down. I am still losing so I am not overly concerned. I would like to sit and eat a meal and have it stay down though. I have no regrets. Every day is good even with the food issues. I breathe walk and live better. I have issues with not seeing what everyone else see's. Some days I look in the mirror and think wow, and other days i look and think how fat I look. Some day my brain will catch up and I will see myself for what I am becoming. The morning of my surgery I weighed 342. I now weigh 280 so that is a 62 pound weight loss. I was in a 3X and probably 28's. My 22's are falling off me and I need to get out and get something smaller. My sirts are 1X's or 16-18's which feels good. I finally broke down and bought a zipper sweater from walmart. It actually fits and doesn't just hang off me. I am proud of the total weight loss though. When I finally went for my first consult in June I weighed in at 362. I lost 21 pre-surgery so all added up I have lost 83 pounds and it isn't coming back....... Shannon

Everyone is doing so great!! Keep up the good work. I am feeling like I have a new lease on life. I can pick up stuff off of the floor and tie my shoes. My draw strings on my work pants are past my knees before I tie them, but I'm holding out. I do have a couple of smaller pair that I have been able to wear. I have gone from a size 32 to a 26/28. My chest is shrinking and I now use the first latch on my bra instead of the last possible one. I lost 22 before surgery and as of this AM I have lost 26 since and I'm 5 1/2 weeks out. I ran into some people I haven't seen in over 4 months and they were all telling me how great I look and a lot of them don't know about the surg. It felt great at first but I ran out of replies except for 'thank you'. They just kept going on and on. Wait till I'm down to my goal, what will they say then. I can keep just about everything that I have tried down. I have yet to throw up. I am not testing to see if I can tolerate sugar cuz I just don't want to know. I am easing into things. I have found that the closer to 800 cals that I get, the more I lose, so I am always trying to get something in. I am getting all of my protein from food right now and a little carb to balance my diet. I love FitDay cuz it tells me if I need to get a bit more in before the end of the day. I do stop when I hit my limit and it hasn't been difficult to keep it under control. Everyone keep up the great work, Kell

7 weeks out and down 42.6 pounds. I am a little disappointed because I seem to be stalled, but I am still eating every 3 hours and drinking lots of water. I go back for my 2 month check up on 11/8 and hope maybe I can lose a little more by then. I am really starting to exercise full force and am feeling great. Still can't drink the protein shakes but am trying to get my protein in through food. On a good note, I put on a pair of pants that I bought 3 years ago and couldn't fit in. Now they are almost too big. I also have finally been able to put my engagement ring back on and it slides around on my finger. Haven't worn it in 2 years.
