Wow!!!! 46 pounds is phenominal. I'm 5 weeks 3 days out and have lost about 30 pounds. My doctor requires from week 2 through 6 to eat only cream soups, smoothies, cream-of-wheat or malt-o-meal. I can't wait to see the doctor next Friday to get to move to soft foods. Keep up the good work! Trace

You are doing great. 46 pounds is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! You have to feel proud. As far as my monthly friend. Well mine has been coming a lot, and lasts 2 weeks so basically I have it all the time. I got mine on October 2nd and got over it on the 17th of this month. Then it came back again yesterday. So I finally have had enough and started my perscription of Norethin Ace tabs. I take 2 once a day for 2 weeks. It should stop whats happening now and then 2 weeks after I start it I should get my visitor. So who knows when I will be back to normal. As far as what I eat. I have started eating yogurt because I mostly live on protein drinks and cream of wheat. I recently added pita bread, toasted with a small amount of strawberry perserves, the sugar free kind. I bought a low carb, low fat, low calorie high in protein pita bread. It tasted yummy and I can eat half of it. Sometimes I eat a cracker if I have a real upset tummy. Also there are days when I can tolerate the beans from a wendy's chili. There are days when i can't. I just try and try and see what's going to cooperate with me that day. Hi Laura, I had surgery on the same day as you and I saw the Dr. on the 28th of this month for my one month check up. I have lost 34 lbs as of the 28th. So for you to have lost 46 lbs.......WOW! That is fantastic!!! I am now on pureed foods which my dietician advises me to be on. I spoke with my Dr. and told him some foods I have tried a week before I saw him, cottage cheese, refried beans, Wendys chili and thats about it besides my usual things like protien shakes, broths, yogurt, skim milk or CC milk, HMR pudding or soup made with skim milk(leftover from a weightloss program I was on b4, but lots of protien in it along with the protien in the skim milk) s.f. popsicles, tomatoe soup and things of that sort. I tried egg beaters yesterday with cheese melted on it as doc said I could try that. Today I was away and they served lunch where I was, but they didnt have a lot to choose from, so I had some sliced cheese and chewed, chewed, chewed some turkey till it was mush. That went down fine too. I will stick with more of the pureed though as I dont want to push my luck. Hope you have good luck also. It would be interesting to see what type of foods you are allowed to eat at this stage also. Warmly, Sherri B

Hello laura its one month for me as well. I eat whatever goes down without complications. I mostly nibble from whatever my daughter is eating . I love franks and beans and my doctor told me its good for me it has lots of protein. I aslo steam shrip and veggies at eat that all week long. They aslo have a oatmeal that is sweented with splenda and its great. I aslo east cheese and crackers my doctor said its ok as long as i can handle it. I cant eat chicken or any other meat besides franks. So good luck and i hope this helps you. Oh and pancakes nice small ones with sugar free syrup or sugar free jelly.
