Feelings of Guilt
Well, I am losing. I was at 45lbs last time I checked. Hubby had to hide the scale, I was getting obsessive. I get to weigh in tomorrow.
I was wondering if anyone else feels guilty when they eat? Now that most of us are on full foods, do you feel guilty when you take a snack of 3-5 crackers/pretzels or even eat apple sauce. I get so nervous that this isn't going to keep working that I can't get all of my cals in. My dietician said I need to get to 600 and eventually closer to 1000. I can barely hit 450 now. I start to eat and stop early because I'm still associating food with guilt.
Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this, and if so, what are you doing to overcome this?
Thanks,
Kelley
OMG yes! I always feel guilty Kelley! If I have a cracker or two or a few fat free pretzles I feel so guilty, same with cheese! I know its approved but I still associate cheese with junk food. Maybe its becase all my favorite junk foods had cheese on them, pizza, burgers, cheese fries, nachos. Congrats on your 45lb loss! Thats awesome!

Hello Kelley,
I understand the guilt from associating certain foods with what I did to get this size.
The strange thing is that I stopped losing on 500 cals and I was told ( by the DR.) to pump it up ( but stay under 800). At the lower number my body thought food as never coming again-- and held on to the weight.
So, I still use FitDay.com to help me count what I'm really eating and how the protein is going. It's not perfect, but it does help cut out some of the noise in my head..."Why did you eat that!?"
