Hi September WLSers, As of yesterday I am -42 lbs. The nausea has not bothered me as much this week, only twice. I think I am starting to figure out that soup, stew and foods like that are easier on my pouch than more dense foods. Maybe later I can tolerate more. My attidue about all of this is getting better also. I changed my multivitamin to Liquid Centrum and it doesn't make me sick like the chewables. On Thursday, I also stated taking a Bonine before I try to eat anything and that seems to help to keep me from being nauseated. Hopefully I want have to do that for long. I went back to work this week and I have been so tired. I still don't have all of my energy back yet. It's probably time for another B12 shot. Well that's all for now. How is everyone else doing on their journey? Take care, Lisa G

Your doing great. I am so proud of your progress. Sorry about the feeling icky. I have a hard time eating things but I still keep trying. Today was the first day I was able to eat a piece of meat and not get sick. Just keep trying, it will get easier and easier. I lost 21 pounds pre surgery and since my surgery I have lost 53 pounds so that is a total over all weight loss of 74 pounds. I have been at a stall this past week but that's ok I still feel pretty good....... Shannon

Hi Shannon, Way to go, congratulations on your weight loss -74. That is so wonderful. I actually was able to eat 2 slices of reduced fat bacon and 1 egg today for breakfast!!!! I was living dangerously. Take care, Lisa

Hey Lisa, I have been having some trouble with nausea too but I think I have just been pushing too hard... so I too have cut back to just soft stuff and I do feel better. I have lost 25 pounds so far... wishing it was more but I'll take what I can get. Question... does the Bonine make you sleepy? I have had a couple of rough days with nausea and have thrown up once.. and that was more than I wanted. This whole week my pouch has been very tempermental, but most of the meds for nausea... make me too sleepy to function. Phenergan puts me down for almost 24 hours solid. Congrats on the weight loss... keep up the good work!!! Wanda

Hi Wanda, Thank you and congratulations to you also. Phenergan and Dramamine both make me sleepy. The Bonine has not. On the box it even says it has a less drowsy formula than other meds for nausea. The active ingredient is not the same as what is in Dramamine. The pharmacist recemmended it and it comes with 16 in the pack for about the same price as the Dramamine which only has 8. Be blessed, Lisa

Thanks Lisa... I swear, I would rather be in pain than be nauseated!!! I'm going to go to the drug store in the morning!!! thanks a heap!

Wanda, Let me know if this helps you. Good luck. It's so weird I have said the same thing about pain vs. nausea many, many times. Take care, Lisa

Way to go Greg...and all of you!! Aren't we something? I never thought I could really, really lose weight and have it STAY OFF, but I am beginning to think this might be the case.....HOPE SO!! I am stuck in a stall at the moment...so very frustrating...up and down the same blasted 1.5 lbs for the past week or so.......... My diuretic has been cut in half due to low bp (IMAGINE??) so that might account for the little bit of gain, but my pouch has been very grouchy, so I would think the throwing up might balance the fluid retention, lol..........NOT! BUT then again, my carb intake has been a bit higher than usual.........go figure.........or better yet, go walk! Keep up the good work everyone! Wesie, who is excited about soon starting water aerobics now that the wound infection is ALMOST healed up!!!................but has a ferocious pain on the left that started Thurs pm...........saw my new PCP, but he said it was "nothing"...........hmmmmm......probably will call the surgeon on Mon or Tues if it is not a lot better........

Hi Wesie, I was thinking about starting water aerobics also but it is starting to get cold. Make sure you call your surgeon that pain could be something that is causing your stall. Take care and keep us updated, Lisa
