Muscous Problem

I am having a problem with mucous in my pouch. The pouch is full and I can eat very little. Even less than what I'm supposed to be eating!! I have tried taking some hot tea about 1/2 hour before I eat (doesn't help). Doctor has now suggested I try some Maalox about 1 hour prior to each meal. Helped a little. When I do have to throw up, it's about 95% mucous. Sometimes I can only get down about 3 or 4 tsps of yogurt, sometimes I can do the whole container. Because of this, I am back on broth, yogurt and jello, even though I'm entering my fifth week post surgery and should be eating a little better by now. Does anyone else have this mucous problem?

My doctor described what you are going through as having constipation. I only experienced this mucus thing once, and I felt better after a suppository and 2 tablespoons of milk of magnesia. Also, the warm tea helped me too. I am so sorry you are having to go through this. Good Luck! I'll add ya to my prayers -KT

I was told it was due to lack of my vitamins...now since i have been getting them in...i have done much better...just the thought of food would cause me to foam and throw up, without even eathing
