I am almost 4 weeks out and have lost 27 lbs, but I have not lost any weight in 5 days. I am trying to figure out what I am doing wrong. I am finally getting in all my protien, Liquids is another matter it still hurts when I am drinking my doctor put me on prilosac and it has helped alittle but getting in all my liquid is hard. I am sipping all day and still have not got to where I am suppose to be. Any how I am getting paranoid about my weight stalling out this soon. Has this happened to anyone else? I am walking everyday and will start to the gym next week after my month check up. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Sonya

I'm pretty much stalled too, not to worry. From what I've been told, when you least expect it, you'll get on the scales and voila! you've lost five -8 pounds. Hint: I've come to realize that when I get that nasty taste in my mouth, that's when my body is starting to burn fat again. The taste for me usually comes in the morning, but it may be different for others. Johanna

Stalls are normal...I have had two for a week at a time each. It's your body trying to catch up to what happened to it. And most likely if you take your measurements during those times, you are losing inches when you are not losing pounds. I was six weeks out yesterday and have lost 50 pounds....with two stalls of a week each in there. Stick to your doctors plan, make sure you get all your liquids and protein and it will happen. I panicked the first time but the second one, I rode out well and lost 5 pounds the day I broke it!

Hi Sonya, I'm three weeks out and wondering why I only lost 20 pounds. On my first visit post op, I lost 16 pounds. Since then, 10/12 till now, just 4 pounds. Every time I pass my scale I get such anxiety. I'm ready to throw th e scale out the window. From what I understand just continue with the program, water, protein, vitamins and activity and just focus on healing and don't look at the scale just yet. Good luck Jewels

I have had at least two stalls of five days. They are VERY frustrating. . but each has ended, and I've continued to lose. Hang in there.
