Hi, I'm a "newbe" here but I just have a question that I hope someone out there can help me with. Are eating low fat pretzles ok to do? I find myself eating about 4 a day. I teach and my class has snack mid-morning, and it's hard not to grab something during this time.

Hi again! As long as you chew them up real well. But be careful about drinking, just don't want to get noucious (???) if you drink right away after you eat them. I have eaten them from time to time and found them to be a little dry for me.

As long as you are getting in your protein. Pretzels are high in carbs, even if they are low fat. If you are getting in your protein, they should be fine. How about some low carb yogurt (5 grams of protein) or low fat string cheese (8 grams of protein). Just a suggestion. Good luck!! J.

Not only are they high in carbs, but they're a bad carb, unless you're eating whole wheat pretzels. That said, I have had one or two just to hold me until I can get to the cafeteria or to the store for a better choice. What about a whole wheat cracker with some peanut butter and/or some cheese?

My dietician had pretzel's on my 'okay to eat now' list. So, I am going to give them a try, as long as you chew chew chew. Kell

What I wouldn't give for a pretzel. They are not on my list...but it just depends on your doctor's plan. I'm not allowed any refined carbohydrates or beans, mashed potatoes, et****il after I've lost 75% of my weight. Brook

I have tried a couple and the salt is yummy but they were a little dry. Today I brought some Pistachios to work for that mid-morning snack. They really hit the spot AND they are high in protein! Maybe you can rotate your snacks out so you don't get so many carbs? Just my two cents! Good luck. Codie -30

They have 6 Grams per 1/4 cup without shells! That is a lot in my book and they didn't bother my pouch either. Just chew, chew, chewed the heck out of them! Goo luck! Codie -30
