What A Great Day!!!
I have to confess that I've been living in nightshirts since the surgery, not really feeling like dressing, except to go to the doctor's for my two week checkup.
So I decided it was time for me to get back into church this morning. I got all my makeup on, then trudged into the bedroom to see what I was going wear. I wanted to wear my standard big silk shirt from Roaman's and jeans and a top. I chose a men's shirt that I loved, but was often tight around the arms. I put it on and almost passed out!!! The shirt wasn't this loose when I bought it last year~! My arms were swimming in it, and I could button every button on it.
I called for my husband to see it, and he had a big grin on his face! Then I put my jeans on. These were the same jeans I wore the day of my surgery, and guess what? I can't find my butt in them!!! Total bagginess from behind!LOL We both pulled at the waist, the butt and the sides, and it's nothing but cloth~!!! I couldn't believe it. I went to church very happy, was able to sit through the whole service without feeling uncomfortable from my clothes pinching me.
I don't know how much I've lost so far, but at the two week it was 24 pounds. It blows me away to think that I weigh less than I did when we moved here to Kansas City. I know this has to be true, because the shirt I was talking about I purchased shortly after moving here, and it was really tight on my arms then!
One month checkup on Tuesday. Will have the stats!!

Hey Katie!
How you doin' hon? I can't wait to go shopping either! Oddly enough, I've been looking at boots lately? You know, the suede ones that you just "pull" on that go up to your knees? I've always wanted to wear a pair! I hope my calves will shrink enough to do that.LOL
I still have a lot of nice clothes that I bought from Roamans and Lane Bryants' that I'll be able to wear throughout the winter months, so I'm not too worried about dress. It'll be nice to wear them the way they were supposed to be worn, even if it's only for a short time.
I've been crossing over to the straight food arena lately, being real careful, but instead of eating just beans, I made a burrito (very small one) with beans, beef, cheese and sour cream. It was soooo good! I added up the protein content and it came up to 30 grams. I had no problem with the tortilla, either.
What you been eating? LOL
Johanna
Hey!
Well, I have been eating a lot lately. I find that tender meats go down best. For some reason steak and ham are troublesome. However, I had a qtr. of an omelette this morning and tender chicken with green beans for dinner. I am so over the protein drinks--I am trying to just eat enough. That usually gets me to about 750 cals a day. Dr. U said not to go over 1000. I wish he had given us like a meal plan/recipes to use now that we are out of the pureed stage (well, u are about to be). I'll check the MANUAL. I have yet to try a tortilla. I did eat the meat out of a soft taco this weekend though. Fed the tortilla to the dog. HAHA!

Hey Joanna,
I am right there with you, sister. I went back to work yesterday and I went to put on my work pants and they were dragging on the floor, so I tried my old work pants which no longer fit me about 8 months ago and now they fit again, and they aren't even tight.
This is so great!!! Woo Hoo!
