1-month update/18-days no loss...
hi all,
yesterday i had my one-month surgeon checkup and met with the nutritionist to be 'advanced' on foods.
i've officially lost 22.5 pounds since surgery on 9/15. yea!
finally, i broke my 18-day zero weight-loss cycle and dropped a few pounds between wed & thurs. i feel much better and am not at all queasy anymore.
i confessed all to the nutritionist, including that i had a few handfuls of nuts (chewed into oblivion and beyond before i swallowed!), that i'd been eating some very soft/wet fish (an ounce or two of grilled salmon), that i'd had some egg salad and a little bit of tuna fish. lol.
yesterday i bought sashimi (it's like sushi without any rice - just plain raw fish). it was tuna & salmon. i soaked them in fresh lemon juice and soy sauce (the kind with no sugar). they were fantastic! i had 2 pieces for each meal, with a total of 6 pieces (about 2 ounces total). i had no trouble with it. yummy.
i couldn't find the exact protein grams anywhere but i think that they're very high in protein.
i used to live on sushi and i'm happy i can tolerate the fish still.
working on my water while i type this.

hi shannon,
my nutritionist didn't seem too pleased about the nuts but i wanted to confess! she didn't give me the ok or say that i couldn't have them. she did say that sometimes you just have some comfort food (i told her i needed to crunch something and that i chew every bite at least 30 times so it was kind of like peanut butter). so she didn't give the ok. i'm going to try and hold off.

I am right there with you... I am at 2 1/2 weeks with no loss and I am going nuts. I am getting about 60 gms of protein a day and my fluids and walking 3xs/week for about 2 miles and still stuck. I would go eat a box of brownie mix but what would be the point... don't want to know what dumping feels like.... I keep telling myself it will kick back in soon.... I'm trying to be patient but darn its hard.
