new types of foods
Things i've tried but can't tolerate. Chili from Wendy's but I only ate the beans. Ham, turkey wizzed in the blender. Thinly sliced turkey that I actually was able to eat at the time but haven't tried since. Hard boiled eggs, cream of wheat. I like my ice pops sugar free and Fruit 2 o frozen. If you've tried anything else that you like and can tolerate pass it on, please.

I'm on pureed foods and experimenting with whole foods. Rotisserie chicken, I ma**** in my fingers as it is really moist, mashed potatoes. VERY steamed veggies, chicken salad, soft scrambled eggs with a little bit of salsa, fish (small bits of flakes chewed well or chopped up). Little pieces of lowfat cheese cut into really small pieces and I chew the heck out of it. French onion soup agrees with me too, as the onions are so soft and the broth has a ton of protein.
I love baby utensils, as I have to take small bites and I chew everything really well.
That is where I am at!

One thing i tried as i am so ready to chew and crunch and something new...I had cottage cheese 1 1/2 ounces and then 1/2 ounce of tuna..and then i put some dots of thousand island dresssing...LOL...I want some new flavors...I have heard but not tried yet using ricotta cheese and say cherry flavoring and some splenda as a treat..anyone else tried this yet?
My sister has a recipe for ricotta cheese with splenda and cocoa powder mixed together. You can add small carob chips if you like as well.
As far as what we are eating--I eat cheese (string, cream & cheddar), scrambled eggs, beans, soft chicken, well cooked carrots/brocoli, rice, and saltine crackers. I am a little scared to try bread or pasta! I hear they stick easily...
Good Luck Everyone!
Anything that I could smash/smush into the consistency that a baby could eat it.
I am a little over two weeks postop and I can honestly say that I am not having any issues with foods at this time...(thank goodness)... I eat very slowly and chew chew chew .... I just added in chicken and eggs this past week and ate a teensy bit of beef/bean mixture that was in my husbands enchilada while we were out at the lake. It was maybe two spoonfulls. I didn't have a problem with it at all.
When I started on foods I started out with cottage cheese, yogurts (watch the sugar content) and soft soft veggies... also a bit of instant mashed potatoe with a sliver of pepper jack cheese melted into it. It was heavenly!.....
Best wishes...
Elizabeth~
