I know we are not suppose to ask, but I think it is intersting. I had my surgery 09/02/04 and have lost around 26 lb. Was at a stand still for almost 2 weeks, the scale is starting to move again. I actually gained a couple of pounds. Talked to my Dr.'s office and they said not to worry. So, now the 2 pounds are off and it is starting to move again!! Halleljua!!!! So September people, how is going? Congrats to you all for the decision to change your life!!! J.

Well I was down 17 pounds and went up one. Now I am at a stand still. I would be worried but that is the great thing about this forum. I read the post daily and see that it is normal this early after surgery to be at a stall. The bad thing is my scales broke. I guess I will have to buy a new one tomorrow.

Ha Ha Ha this is such a funny question today! I am 16 days post op today so I decided to get on the scale to see if I had lost any more weight to the 22 lbs the Dr said I lost last Friday. Well considering I can't see my toes with my belly in the way I noticed that if I try and look over my belly at the scale I lost 27 lbs. If I try not to look over my belly I can't see the scale. LOL Soooooo, I am going to say I lost in between 22 and 27 lbs. will know the final count next Friday. Good Luck to everyone! Regards Marianne

You and I are in the same boat, if I recall. A bit of a stand-still for a while. I've decided not to weigh myself for a couple of weeks (ya-right... let's see how long *this* lasts! lol) congrats on getting the scale to move. Any tips?

Well, I was feeling rather discouraged about the whole thing till I read this thread of posts! I lost 15 in the 5 days before surgery, then 14 from surgery to 11 days post op, then nothing, nada, zippo, since then! (5 days) Everyone keeps saying that my body is just in denial and is hanging on for dear life to all that fat so...... I got a friend to come over and take my scale away! I will NOT obsess about it and now I can't step on the scale everyday (or several times a day!) I won't weigh again until my next follow up appointment on the 15th. So for now...29 pounds gone in 2 1/2 weeks..... That's my story and I'm sticking too it! Congrats to everyone else for being such "losers!" Hugs! Dawn

9 days post - op and I have lost 17 lbs. Home scales can be very inaccurate, so I plan on weighing myself weekly.

I had my surgery sept 8th and so far I have lost 35 pounds but I am a pretty heavy person to begin with so thats probaly why I lost so much at first.

Hi Everyone! I am 15 days post-op and my scale says I'm down 17 pounds since surgery plus another 10 that I had to lose in a month before surgery for a total of 27 pounds. I had a few days last week when the scale didn't seem to budge. I don' t feel like I'm losing very fast, but I just keep drinking and walking and feel blessed that the scale is moving in the right direction. Sending happy weight loss vibes to all!! Julia

Well i didn't know we weren't suppose to ask because I think this is a great question. When I saw Dr. Phol on the 23 of last month or maybe it was the 24th, I forget. Well anyway, when I saw him for my 3 week follow up I was at 29 pounds down. I am now @ the 5 week point and I really have no idea what I weigh. My scale isn't right so that doesn't give me any idea. I am going to take a visit to my Dr.'s office at the end of this month to get an accurate weight. So for now I know I am down 29. Shannon
