I went for my 1st post-op visit today and while I was there they removed my drain. After they removed it I felt very dizzy and almost fainted. The Dr. had the nurse bring me in some juice and a bag to breathe into. I laid there for 15mins and drank my juice and felt much better. Now onto some good news...I lost "15"lbs!!! I am SOOOOOOOOOOoooo Excited! I go back in 3 weeks for my 1 month. The Dr. says I could be down 30-45lbs by then!!! Today I get to start on soft foods such as eggs, cottage cheese, tuna fish, & stewed chicken. I am so happy but a little nervous! I can now say I am officially a LOSER! Mike

Good for you! Not the fainting of course... but the LOSER part! Phew - I'm glad that it was a quick episode. Could be that your blood pressure is getting lower from being a LOSER!!!!!

Thanks for replying so quickly. They actually checked my Blood pressure and it was exactly 120/80! I guess it was a fluke thing?!?!?

Sorry you almost fainted. Your body might not have been able to deal with the feelings some people say they feel when the drains are removed. I am so excited for you haivng lost 15 pounds. You must have been happily suprised. Congrats on getting to add newer foods to your diet. I hope you find the right combo of things to satisfy you. It takes a little bit of time to get to a point where you find things that taste good to you and agree with your tummy. I wish you the best. Happy Losing!!! Shannon
