Hi. First, let me introduce myself. I have not posted on this board before. My name is Leslie, and I had RNY on 9/14/04. My beginning weight was 263, and then I went down to 239. Then I went back up to 240. Now, I've weighed 240 for FIVE DAYS without weight loss. What am I doing wrong? I don't think I'm overeating. In fact, at a support meeting, I was told that I'm not eating enough. Any suggestions?

Hello Leslie, nice to meet you!!! Congrats on the Weight loss. I hear the weight loss will fluculate (sp?). The scale is addicting, try not to weight your self everyday because it will change so much throught out the day anyway. You will be just fine, Congrats, Loser!!!

Don't worry. I have been stuck at -23lbs. for a week. I think our bodies are just trying to figure out what's going on with us! I'm still losing inches though!?! Good Luck.

Hi Leslie, I had my RNY on 9-20-04. I was 275 that morning and am now (13 days out) at 269. Only 6 lbs. But I am trying not to stress over it and having faith that it will come off. I do know that if you are not eating enough you will not lose weight. Your body cannot function well enough to lose weight if you are not getting enough calories. In my first week home I was getting just under 400 calories a day. I knew that wasn't good so I called the dietician and she said to start mixing my shakes with milk instead of water and that brought calories up to about 700. Have you tried the website www.fitday.com ? It makes it so easy to record what I eat and it calculates the calories, protein grams and the nurtients I'm getting in each day. You'll probably have to enter your shakes and some of the foods you eat as "new custom foods" but it's defenitely worth the effort! Keep on doing what you're supposed to do and the weight will come off! Linda
