HI EVERYONE !! I AM BACK HOME AS OF FRIDAY (WENT IN ON WED) AND EVERYTHING WENT WELL I HAD THE LAP DONE THANK GOODNESS. HOSPITAL WAS WAS NOT BAD...JUST HAD TO WAIT IN THE RECOVERY ROOM FOR ABOUT 7 HRS BECAUSE THE INN WAS FULL HAD TO WAIT FOR SOMEONE TO BE DISCHARGED...BUT THE NURSES TOOK REAL GOOD CARE OF ME AND I WAS MOSTLY OUT OF IT ANYWAY...JUST THAT MY FAMILY HAD TO WAIT IN THE WAITING ROOM ALL THAT TIME.... I DID EXPERIENCE TOO MUCH PAIN AS A MATTER OF FACT ONE THE NURSES MENTIONED THAT I WAS THE FIRST PATIENT SHE HAD EVER TREATED WHO USED AS LITTLE MORPHINE AS I DID...I KNOW MY PAIN TOLERANCE IS PRETTY HIGH SO I GUESS THATS WHY.... I'M STILL SORE AND MY LOWER BACK HURTS REALLY BAD SINCE I HAVE BEEN HOME. I HAVE HAD TO PUSH MYSELF TO DRINK MY LIQUIDS NOT REALLY WANTING ANYTHING. I WANT TO THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND ENCOURAGEMENT AND I WILL KEEP YOU ALL POSTED WITH MY PROGRESS. GOD BLESS TO ALL

Constance, I had my surgery the same day and came home yesterday like you did. I am glad everything went well. I had no complications either. Isn't this surgery a miracle? I am a little worried because I haven't had a BM yet. Are you having a problem with this? Take care. Lynn J., lap RNY 9/29/04

Awright, Connie!! So glad to hear you are home and doing so well!!! Know what you mean about being stuck in the recovery room because of no beds!! I was in exactly the same boat......didn't bother me any, but really was hard on my family!! Aren't those nurses on 6W wonderful? I was really impressed with most of them. About the back pain...........darned if I know what the deal is, but it is STILL a major issue for me at 4+ weeks out..........and it is getting sort of OLD........ Maybe soon it will go.....hope so. Keep in touch.........and congrats! Wesie
