1 month Post-op
I'm not kidding and yes you read that right. 50 min. 2x/day. I'm not doing so well in getting that all in. I can walk for 50min., but I am pretty tired afterwords. The biggest problem is that I am so tired that I don't get my lazy butt up to walk. I know I can do it, I just need a littel extra motivation. Anyways I'm kicking myself in the butt and will get out tomorrow and take my dog for 2 nice long walks It was 20 min. 3x/day for the 1st month, now it's only 2x/day, but the time increased. Actually once I'm up and walking around, I feel pretty good and if I actually do some exercise a little while after my first meal I feel like I have more energy for the rest of the day.

Brook! Congrats on your loss! That's great!!! I just weighed in today too and am at three weeks with 25 pounds since surgery and 50 total since July. I'm hoping to keep having these kind of results! I go back on November 8th for my two month appointment and then 6 months and 12 months. Is that the kind of schedule you have too?
About the support group/cooking class - hook me up! I have been driving to Fort Lauderdale three times this week for support groups. I need to go locally. Let me know when you are going again and I will join you. I go back to work October 11th and am feeling like a baby about it because I'm sooooo tired and I hope I can handle it.
I go back to work on Oct. 11th also. I know exactly how you are feeling. I'm kind of nervous about going back and wether or not I can handle working 12 hour shifts in the ER. But, I need to get back into the swing of things. The next cooking class is Oct. 26th 6pm at Holy Cross Hospital. It's $10, but hey you get to eat . Unless things change, I will have that day off from work and plan on going.
I'm on the same kind of follow-up schedule, there was a 2 week, 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, 12 month, and then yearly for life.
