I had my surgery last Tuesday, had major complications and had to have a second surgery the next day and then blood transfusions, but I am home and feeling pretty good. No pain meds since shortly day after second surgery. Going to get staples out today. The biggest problem is I can't sleep. I start having major bad dreams. Other than that, I am feeling well and can't wait to see how things progress.

Lisa Bad dreams are a result of the pain meds given to you in the hospital. I also go through the same thing. Bad dreams and craziness. It is stopping now since all I take is tylenol at bedtime. I feel pretty good since my surgery last Tuesday, so much so that my hubby thinks I should have no problem cooking for the family. Take Care and Hope You Feel Better Marianne

Lisa, I am sorry you had such difficulties but I am glad your home and doing better. I am not not sure what's causing your bad dreams but I have to tell you that when I first got home and for about 2 weeks afterwards I had some awful nightmares. Some nights they were so bad I woke up screaming. Once I scared the living sh*t out of my husband. I never scream or yell in my sleep. Most of them were just insanely awful but some were real scary. Thankfuly it has stopped. Now my dreams are just back to being really weird but that is normal for me. I hope they stop soon for you and things get back to normal. Shannon

Shannon, Thanks for letting me know I am not alone. These dreams and lack of sleep are driving me insane. It takes me HOURS to finally fall asleep, even when I am exhausted, and then to wake up with a bad dream makes me so miserable. I am glad there will be light at the end of this tunnel. Lisa
